News: Linux turns 30 years old!
This month, Linux turns 30 years old. It's come a LONG way!
In addition to being the basis for much of the Internet's infrastructure, embedded devices, smart products, Android phones, and TV boxes, it is also the basis for almost all the operating systems that run on single board computers.
Windows even has a Linux subsystem now.
Interesting side-note: It is also 30 years since the dissolution of the USSR, leading to renewed freedom in many countries which had been absorbed into the USSR. 1991 seems to have been a good year for freedom.
