ameriDroid and LABL Package Protection

ameriDroid and LABL Package Protection

Dear valued customers,

We have some exciting news to share with you regarding our shipping protection program. As you may know, we previously partnered with Route to offer package protection for your orders. However, we recently made the decision to switch to a new provider called LABL.

Why did we switch? Unfortunately, Route recently increased their premium prices from $0.98 to $1.55 for orders under $100 and from 3.5% to 4.7% on orders over $100. We understand that these price increases may not be accessible for everyone, which is why we have partnered with LABL to offer the same service at a more affordable cost.

LABL offers package protection for just $0.98 on orders under $100 and 2% on orders over $100. This means that you can still have peace of mind knowing that your package is protected during transit, without breaking the bank.

To take advantage of this service, simply opt-in during checkout. If you need to file a claim, please feel free to reach out to us at orders@ameridroid.com. Alternatively, can file the claim yourself by filling this form here, just remember, claims must be filed for lost packages after 7 days for domestic orders and 21 days (and within 30 days from the last checkpoint) for international shipments. It's just another way that we're working to provide the best possible experience for our customers.

Thank you for your continued support and we hope that this change will benefit you. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team.

Best regards, Brandon

The ameriDroid Team

Thanks for your feedback! We offer multiple shipping carriers for our customers for a number of reasons. One of those reasons is because we feel that our customers often know which carriers serve their area the best, and which carriers don’t do such a great job. The shipping prices offered are directly passed from the carrier to the customer. When the customer selects a carrier, the customer is hiring that carrier to deliver their package to them. Most anyone in the shipping industry agrees that getting carriers to accept responsibility for lost packages is time consuming, expensive and frustrating. We offer LABL insurance at this time so that nobody has to deal with the shipping carriers directly when they mishandle packages, which seems to be getting more common year after year, which also helps us to keep our prices as low as possible for everyone.

Shouldn’t package protection be purchased by the sender (e.g., AmeriDroid) instead of the consumer? If I order a package from AmeriDroid, I expect to receive it and if I don’t, then it’s your responsibility to open up a claim with the carrier used (USPS, UPS, FEDEX, etc.). Why should the customer be responsible to pay for insurance/protection and also be required to open up claims on behalf of ameriDroid?
