ODROID-H4+ Homelab Review by Learn To HomeLab

We recently partnered with the awesome YouTube channel Learn To HomeLab and sent Abe an ODROID-H4+ unit for real-world testing. He put it through its paces as a low-power homelab server running Proxmox, testing power consumption, performance, Wake-on-LAN, and more. The verdict? It's a seriously impressive contender for homelab builds!
The ODROID-H4 series (including H4, H4+, and H4 Ultra) packs powerful Intel processors — Intel N97 on the H4/H4+ models and Intel Core i3 N305 on the Ultra variant. Key specs include:
- Up to 64GB DDR5 RAM support
- NVMe SSD slot for fast boot/storage
- Multiple SATA ports for 2.5" SSD/HDD support (H4+ and H4 Ultra variants only)
- Dual 2.5GbE Ethernet ports (H4+ and H4 Ultra variants only)
- Triple display output (2x DP + 1x HDMI, up to 4K@60Hz)
- Extremely low idle power (6-7W)
If you're looking for a compact, efficient x86 board for homelab, NAS, media server, or desktop use, the ODROID-H4 series is worth checking out.
