via Marius Gripsgard:

Software support for the PinePhone, an Allwinner A64-powered open-source Linux smartphone, has been making excellent progress recently with numerous Linux touch-based operating systems.

A couple of the main goals of the PinePhone is to be open-source (FOSS), and to offer the user the opportunity to be 100% privacy-centric with their smartphone.

The phone is expected to retail for $149.

This video shows the current state of Ubuntu Touch on the developer's PinePhone kit.
