  This device is truly the easiest way to get started with Home Assistant, but it still needs an internet connection to finish setup:
  
  1. You connect the Home Assistant Green to power and to your router with an Ethernet cable.
  2. On the very first boot it automatically downloads the latest Home Assistant OS from GitHub (usually takes 5–15 minutes depending on your internet speed).
  3. After the download and install finishes, the device will proceed to boot the HA OS and you can reach the normal Home Assistant interface at http://homeassistant.local:8123 or via the IP address (For example if the IP assigned to your device is 192.168.1.15, you will need to reach http://192.168.1.15:8123 from any browser connected to the same network).
  
  Ethernet cable is included ✓

• If you select condition "Refurbished":

Get into smart home automation with this refurbished Home Assistant Green — a customer-returned unit (from Amazon) that was used or even unopened, then returned for reasons unrelated to any hardware issues. We have inspected and tested each one: no hardware repairs were needed — every unit was already working perfectly. We simply performed a factory reset so it will boot straight to the Home Assistant setup/onboarding screen, ready for your fresh installation.

The hardware itself is in excellent, like-new condition. The original packaging may show cosmetic wear (dents, stickers, scratches, or opened seals), and extras like stickers, warranty cards, or safety information might be missing — but none of that affects performance.
