This clever device lets you add reliable Power over Ethernet (PoE) support to your standard Home Assistant Yellow bundle without needing to upgrade your hardware. It's also a perfect fit for powering other compact systems like the Home Assistant Green, ODROID-N2+, ODROID-M1, and more, keeping your smart home ecosystem wired and wireless-free.

Simply connect the splitter between your PoE-enabled network and your device to deliver stable 12V/2A DC power (up to 24W) via a standard 5.5x2.1mm barrel connector, while maintaining full gigabit Ethernet speeds. No more tangled adapters or separate power bricks—just clean, centralized cabling for a tidier setup.

For optimal performance, pair it with a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) such as a PoE switch or injector that adheres to IEEE 802.3af (standard PoE, delivering up to 15.4W) or IEEE 802.3at (PoE+, up to 30W) standards. This ensures safe, auto-detected power delivery without compatibility hiccups. Since ODROID's and HA Yellow might need 12V/2A fully, we recommend IEEE 802.3at as it provides up to 30W. Note: While designed for IEEE standards, it can work with select 48V passive PoE injectors (like the TP-Link TL-POE4824G) in tested setups—great for budget flexibility, and while it can work with advanced 802.3bt setups if they're backward-compatible, we recommend sticking to af/at for guaranteed reliability.

NOTES

• We have tested this unit using a 48V Passive PoE adapter, it has worked without any issues with the Home Assistant Yellow, Home Assistant Green and ODROID-N2+.
