Main Description

The LILYGO T-Deck Plus is a compact, handheld LoRa device upgraded from the standard T-Deck with an integrated GPS module and a built-in 2000mAh battery. It features a full physical QWERTY keyboard, trackball navigation, touchscreen display, microphone, and speaker, making it an ideal portable communicator for off-grid mesh networks.

This set includes two devices pre-flashed and licensed with Blackout Comms firmware, providing a complete standalone user interface for secure, encrypted text messaging, location sharing, and node configuration directly on the device. 

Users can re-flash the devices with Meshtastic firmware if preferred, and the Blackout Comms license will remain valid, allowing seamless switching back. Included SD cards store encrypted config and data, preserving information when switching firmwares.

Blackout Comms System

Blackout Comms is an advanced off-grid mesh communication platform that enables secure, encrypted text messaging and GPS location sharing over LoRa radio frequencies without requiring internet, cellular service, or centralized infrastructure.

Devices automatically form a decentralized mesh network, relaying messages between nodes to extend range. Direct communication is near-instant when in range; out-of-range messages are stored and forwarded via the mesh when possible, with secure caching for up to 24 hours.

Range varies significantly based on terrain, antenna, power settings, and frequency band but can reach several kilometers in open areas with proper configuration. The system uses advanced mesh algorithms, encryption, and digital signatures for security.

How It Works

The devices arrive pre-configured as your private mesh cluster. Simply turn them on to start communicating. Use the built-in screen, keyboard, and trackball to send/receive messages, share locations, and configure settings. No app or additional setup is required, though pairing with a mobile app via Bluetooth is optional for advanced features.
