Received unit, plugged it in and immediately tried some games. Easily plays games very well except for maybe some of the newest that require high performance systems.
Works great for any time you need an x64 system and don't want to use a lot of power to keep it running.
Everything seemed fine. Was packaged nicely, booted right up into a well thought out bios, but I noticed the fan wasn't on. I wasn't sure if the fan didn't come on until it was actually under some load or if it came on at a certain temperature. So as I spent about 5-10 mins looking through the bios settings, I smelled something hot, and still the fan was not on. So I began to investigate... One of the screws holding the fan and aluminum heat sink down was kind of cocked at an angle and the head of the screw was touching one of the fan blades preventing the fan from turning. At the time I noticed the screw, smoke started to roll out from under the heat sink. So I unplugged the ac-dc 12v adapter and pushed it into a box and threw it outside. I was worried about it catching fire. So I believe I am going to go with a different brand. Which really sucks because I was excited about this sbc, for the quality, great specs and affordable price, but I guess you get what you pay for.
