How does this compare to the Home Assistant Yellow (formerly Amber)?

  • The Home Assistant Standard N2+ Bundle has 2 extra CPU cores, twice the RAM, and 4 times the eMMC storage as the standard Yellow version, but the Standard bundle has a lower cost.
  • The Home Assistant Standard XU4 Bundle has 4 extra CPU cores and 4 times the microSD storage as the standard Yellow version, at a much lower cost.
  • The Standard N2+ Bundle has 4x USB 3.0 ports and 1x USB OTG port, while the Standard XU4 Bundle has 2x USB 3.0 ports and 1x USB 2.0 ports, where the Yellow has 2x USB 2.0 and 1x USB-C 2.0 ports.
  • The Zigbee functionality is included on the Yellow whereas if this functionality is desired on the Standard N2+ Bundle, it would have to be added via USB, which would bring the Standard Bundle's price slightly higher than the Yellow. The Standard XU4 Bundle would still be less expensive than the Yellow with the Zigbee functionality added. This functionality can be added using the Home Assistant SkyConnect Dongle or the SONOFF Zigbee Dongle.
  • The Yellow includes an integrated M.2 expansion slot.

 NOTES
