Really enjoyed putting this together. It performs really well with the games I have thrown at it so far - SNES, GB, DC. I'm using the EmuElec image. I did replace the face buttons and dpad with the gameboy pocket ones and am getting a metal case and glass screen cover soon. All in all this is a great and fun project/toy.

I recently bought an ODROID-GO Advance Kit from ameriDroid. The kit arrived promptly and well packed, but the LCD was damaged.

I contacted ameriDroid by e-mail. A return shipping label was provided for the damaged display and a new display was shipped the same day. The replacement display arrived a few days later and the assembly was completed without further issues.

Its great for emulating GBA and PSX. However, the speaker and wifi both stopped working completely after about two weeks. The screen shield is very cheap acrylic and will probably scratch easy, and you will want to replace the face buttons with GB pocket ones ASAP.

I was lucky enough to get the new black edition, ameridroid bumped up my model since I had ordered back in early February.
If you happen to get one of these be aware that the official assembly video from hardkernel is still the older model. Assembly is pretty much the same, except you'll want to put in the L2 and R2 before you lay in the board. It's a bit of a headache if you miss that step. Aside from that, the L2 and R2 were fitted in so tightly that once the case was closed it was constantly pressed against the switches. I had to disassemble it and shave the part that presses against the switch. Didn't need much, but keep it in mind if you have the same issues.
As far as emulation goes, genesis, SNES, GBA and most PSX runs totally fine. N64 struggles. Nothing has run perfectly, a handful don't work at all. I'm still fiddling with settings because there are drastic differences between what's available to choose, but if you were hoping to pick up and play goldeneye or banjo kazooie/tooie you'll have some issues. People are working hard to make it better and based on videos I've seen from launch performance still has improved greatly, so holding out hope. Haven't tries PSP or dreamcast yet, partially because I'm not as nostalgic for those titles but also because if it struggles with N64 I imagine those are a little too close for its limit.
All in all, paid like 65 for something that can reliably play many consoles and it's a fun project. Definitely satisfied.

This is an inexpensive DIYish console, so I wasn't expecting nintendo quality or anything like that, but those with a little experience and patience won't have any problem. Mine boots and works great. The screen is super nice and has a decent viewing angle, the hardware seems reliable, it's comfortable to use, battery life seems good, over all a solid 4 star unit.

Things I dislike:
The headphone jack doesn't have a sensor to know it's in use, so you have to manually switch between headphones and speaker in software.

No built in wifi/bluetooth, though the wifi is addressed in the black edition.

Performance is good enough for SNES like stuff, but not with a huge margin. If your game uses lots of mode-7 and you want rewind, then it can't keep up without audio studdering. If you turn off rewind or your game isn't mode-7, it's fine.

I sometimes wish the screen was dimmer for playing in bed at night. It's very bright.

Overall a very good little handheld.
