Heltec WiFi LoRa 32 (V4.3), ESP32-S3 + SX1262 LoRa Node, OLED, 915 MHz

Note: This is the Heltec WiFi LoRa 32 (V4.3) for the US band (902–928 MHz) with the OLED display. Choose MCU: ESP32-S3R2 (2 MB PSRAM) or ESP32-S3R8 (8 MB PSRAM). Compatible with Meshtastic, MeshCore, and LoRaWAN.

The WiFi LoRa 32 V4 is the next generation of the Heltec V3 maker board — same size and largely identical pinout, with higher LoRa TX power (high-power band 28±1 dBm), protected OLED, built-in 2.4 GHz FPC antenna, solar input, and a GNSS expansion interface. Hardware revision V4.3.

KEY FEATURES

• Based on ESP32-S3 + SX1262 — Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth LE / BT5 / Mesh, and LoRa.
• Two MCU options: ESP32-S3R2 (2 MB PSRAM; extra free pins) or ESP32-S3R8 (8 MB PSRAM; ideal for heavy-load tasks). Both include 16 MB Flash.
• High-power LoRa TX up to 28±1 dBm on the 863–928 MHz family; this product is 902–928 MHz.
• 0.96-inch OLED (SSD1315, 128×64) with PC screen bracket / casing and integrated FPC 2.4 GHz antenna.
• Form factor and pin compatibility with WiFi LoRa 32 V3 (most scenarios; TX power settings may need adjustment).
• SH1.25-2P lithium battery interface + SH1.25-2P solar panel interface; SH1.25-8Pin GNSS interface.
• Type-C USB with voltage regulation, ESD / short-circuit protection, and RF isolation design.
• Deep sleep current less than 20 μA.
• Development: Arduino, PlatformIO, ESP-IDF, MicroPython. Used with Meshtastic, MeshCore, and LoRaWAN.

MCU OPTIONS

GPIO differences between V4 (S3R2) and V4-R8 (S3R8) include Vext_Ctrl, VGNSS_Ctrl, LED, PA_CTX, GNSS_RST, and ADC_Ctrl. Use the matching pin map / firmware for the MCU you select.

NOTES

• This product is the 902–928 MHz band with OLED.
• Standard V4 (S3R2) and V4-R8 (S3R8) use different Meshtastic firmware — do not flash the wrong image. On Webflasher, do not select “Meshtastic UI” (touchscreen) for standard OLED V4 boards.
• Battery is not included — use a compatible 3.7V Li-Ion / Li-Po with an SH1.25×2 connector.
• Bootloader tip: connect USB-C, hold PRG, press RST once, release PRG, then flash; restart after flashing.
