The ODROID-XU4Q is a new generation of single board computer with hardware that's more powerful, more energy-efficient and has a smaller form factor! Built on open-source software, the XU4Q supports various flavors of Linux including the latest Ubuntu 16.x running MATE desktop and Android 4.4 KitKat, 5.0 Lollipop, 6.x Marshmallow, and even 7.x Nougat. With the high-performance combination of eMMC 5.0, USB3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet, the ODROID-XU4Q boasts amazing data transfer speeds - speeds that are a necessity with many of today's computing tasks like intensive 3D applications, streaming, browsing and gaming.

Placed an order and received it quickly; this powerhouse of a little board. with just a moderate price bump over the aging raspberry pi's you get real gigabit ethernet, USB3 and enough cpu oomph to do a lot more smoothly. This board running emulators is a lot more smoother and can even run games and systems the Pi wishes it could. When setup as a media player or server it blows the Pi away with the USB3 and Gigabit Ethernet allowing for much better streaming and file transfer speeds. supported emmc for the os seems to be faster and more stable then sdcards as well.
A few cons, Its a bit power hungry, get a beefy power supply, the Passive heatsink
of the XU4Q if being ran at full tilt cpu use is not always enough, and you may want to get a case with a fan to blow over it.
